The Trump administration just released devastating anti-woman guidelines expanding the global gag rule. The rule targets international organizations that work on U.S.-funded health projects like HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, and Zika programs.
Tell your members of Congress you will not stand for the Trump guidelines and you reject any effort to make the global gag rule permanent. The U.S. should fight to stop the needless deaths of vulnerable women across the globe — not perpetuate them.

No expanded global gag rule
Dear Member of Congress,
I am a constituent and a supporter of Planned Parenthood. I am writing to urge you to reject the Trump administration's recent "Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance" rule, guidelines that expand the dangerous global gag rule, and fight back against any effort to codify it into law.I also urge you to support the Global HER (Health, Empowerment, and Rights) Act, ending the gag rule for good. The rule under the Trump administration targets international organizations that work on U.S.-funded health projects like HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, and Zika programs. These groups will be banned from all global health funding from the U.S. government if they also happen to provide counseling, referrals, services, or advocate for safe and legal abortion -- even with their own funding. By cutting off access to the best family planning providers, the rule is sure to be devastating for the world's most vulnerable women. It denies women and girls lifesaving health care. And it is sure to mean more tragic deaths from unsafe abortions and pregnancy complications.
