Last Chance to Support Birth Control With No Co-Pays

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued its final rules guaranteeing insurance coverage for birth control with no co-pays for women. Now it's up to you to help protect coverage for women, no matter where they work or go to school.

Before making the coverage requirement official, HHS is accepting public comments until June 19. Personalize the note below to tell HHS that you wholeheartedly support birth control with no co-pays and that all women should have access to birth control if they want or need it. Then spread the word to your friends, family, co-workers, and everyone you know who cares about women's health.

Support Birth Control with No Co-Pays For Every Woman

Dear HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius,

All women should have equal access to basic health care, and no woman should be denied coverage because of where she works or which college or university she attends. Birth control is basic preventive health care that should be available to women without co-pays or other out-of-pocket costs.

For many women, especially college students, birth control is not only a health care issue, it is a financial issue. Covering birth control with no co-pays means college students will not have to choose between paying for tuition and books, or paying for basic health care like birth control.

I wholeheartedly support access to birth control without co-pays for all women regardless of their employer or insurer, and I believe this guaranteed access should apply to college student health plans.
