Tell Senate Republicans: Do Your Job!

President Obama has fulfilled his constitutional duty by nominating Merrick Garland as our new Supreme Court justice. We can't let Republican senators refuse to do their job. Join us in sending a message to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republican senators who are pledging to obstruct this process. Respect the President's Nominee

To: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republican Senators

As Americans and voters, we are deeply disappointed in your reaction to the vacancy on the Supreme Court created by Justice Scalia's death, and President Obama's subsequent nomination of Merrick Garland. Only a few hours after Justice Scalia's passing became public, many Republican Senators were already refusing to even consider President Obama's eventual nominee -- and now that a nominee has been named, many continue to do so. Members of your party are spreading misinformation about the history of Supreme Court nominations during election years. In fact, the Senate confirmed Justice Kennedy in 1988 -- President Reagan's last year in office and an election year.

You say you care about the Constitution -- prove it. Follow the law and give the President's nominee, Merrick Garland, a timely confirmation hearing and a vote.
