Thank Governor Baker for Signing the Contraceptive ACCESS Bill

On November 20th, Governor Baker signed the Contraceptive ACCESS bill after it was overwhelmingly passed by the State Legislature. This critical piece of legislation will ensure 1.4 million Massachusetts women continue to have access to no copay birth control, regardless of President Trump’s latest attack on birth control coverage.

Send Governor Baker a note below to thank him for signing ACCESS and protecting birth control coverage in Massachusetts.

Thank you for signing the Contraceptive ACCESS bill

Dear Governor Baker,

I am writing to you today to thank you for signing An Act Relative to Advancing Contraceptive Coverage and Economic Security in Our State, or the Contraceptive ACCESS bill.

The ACCESS bill protects no copay birth control coverage for 1.4 million Massachusetts women. Making this legislation the law of the land was critical, especially since the Trump Administration drastically unraveled birth control coverage in October.

Birth control coverage affects all of us. Contraception is basic, preventive health care everyone should be able to access, regardless of their economic status. Almost all women, 99% in fact, have used birth control at some point in their lives. Prohibitively expensive copays and out-of-pocket expenses can make it impossible for an individual to protect their health and plan their family.

President Trump's birth control rule allows a woman's boss to determine her most basic and personal of health care decisions. Thank you for making sure that does not happen in Massachusetts.

Thank you,
