BIRTH CONTROL WITH NO CO-PAYS IS WITHIN REACH

We are on the verge of securing birth control with no co-pays for millions of women. The Institute of Medicine has recommended that affordable birth control, as basic preventive health care, be made available to millions of women in America without a co-pay. Now it's up to the Department of Health and Human Services to act on the IOM's recommendation.

Sign the petition below and tell HHS to act on the IOM's recommendation and require new insurance plans to cover prescription birth control with no co-pays — then spread the word to your friends, family, co-workers, everyone you know who cares about women's health.

I support Birth Control with no co-pays

Dear [Decision Maker],

I applaud the recent recommendation by the Institute of Medicine to make prescription birth control available to millions of women with no co-pays under the Affordable Care Act. As the IOM acknowledged, prescription birth control is basic preventive health care that should be available to women without co-pays or other out-of-pocket costs.

Providing prescription birth control with no co-pays or out-of-pocket costs would allow women to choose and consistently use the birth control method that works best for them. This will reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and help keep women and children healthy.

I urge you to act now to require insurers to provide coverage for prescription birth control with no co-pays.

Sincerely,
